After more than 15 years working in ceramics, South African-born Jared Orlin shifted his love for bright, bold colours and the beautiful symmetry of repeating imagery to a new medium: digitally-enhanced pop art and abstract photography prints. Inspired by the artists Andy Warhol and MC Escher, Jared, who now lives in Brighton, UK, loves presenting the ‘normal’ in surprising and unexpected ways. Through playful repetitions and colour enhancements, he puts new spins on familiar people and images, imbuing them with unusual and sometimes surprising perspectives.
