Tamsi Pearl

Tamsi Pearl is a Brighton fresher, but has felt like this place has been home to them all her life. Artist, animator, drummer, singer, poet, she hopes she can not only flourish in this creative, alternative city, but show just how much she has to offer.

Gender Dysphoria Triptych shows a freshly out trans woman, resembling said artist, as they come to terms with their difficult feelings, first in a messy sketch trying to bring together femininity in the face of someone deemed masculine, then in the distraught black and white pen scribblings of an unravelling, coming together and complete distress, then in the days before their first hormone prescription, hope and colour and mixed emotions dawning upon the horizon they stare out to, bathed in blue from a fairy-lit-filled bottle.
